INTRODUCTION
This Terms of Service Agreement ("Agreement") constitutes a legally binding contract between AI Safety Indonesia ("ASI") and any individual or entity ("Participant") participating in or accessing any educational programs, initiatives, or materials ("Programs") offered by ASI in collaboration with academic and industry partners ("Partners").
By accessing, participating in, or utilizing any aspect of the Programs, Participants expressly acknowledge and agree to be bound by all terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement. This Agreement shall govern all aspects of the relationship between the Parties, including but not limited to program participation, use of materials, and any related services.
The Programs are designed to develop expertise in artificial intelligence safety, governance, and responsible AI practices. Specific program structures, courses, and delivery methods are detailed in separate program documentation available on our website, which are incorporated by reference into this Agreement.
This Agreement expressly disclaims the creation of any joint venture, partnership, agency relationship, or employment relationship between ASI or any Partners. Each party is and shall remain an independent entity, and nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to create any fiduciary duty or other special relationship between the Parties.
The Programs are educational initiatives only. Any certifications or credentials provided do not constitute professional licensure, accreditation, or endorsement beyond the scope expressly described in the relevant program documentation. ASI expressly disclaims any and all warranties, representations, or guarantees regarding specific employment outcomes, career advancement, or professional opportunities resulting from participation in any Program.
MISSION STATEMENT
ASI is committed to empowering Indonesia's academic and industry professionals with the knowledge, skills, and networks necessary to implement AI safety and responsible AI principles in their organizations, ensuring that artificial intelligence technologies are deployed responsibly for the benefit of all Indonesians.
1. PROGRAMS OVERVIEW
The Programs are designed to address the growing need for comprehensive understanding of AI safety, governance, and responsible AI practices in Indonesia. As AI systems become more powerful and prevalent, the potential risks and opportunities associated with their deployment require specialized knowledge and skills to identify, assess, and manage effectively.
ASI collaborates with leading academic and industry partners to deliver structured training programs designed specifically for the Indonesian context. The specific terms, conditions, and requirements of each Program shall be set forth in separate program documentation.
2. PROGRAMS OBJECTIVES
The Programs seek to achieve the following objectives, subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement:
- Develop professionals capable of identifying, assessing, and managing AI-related risks and opportunities within Indonesian organizations.
- Establish sustainable frameworks for AI safety and responsible AI education in Indonesia.
- Foster collaboration between academic institutions, regulatory bodies, and industry stakeholders in addressing AI-related challenges.
- Build Indonesia's capacity to participate in global AI governance discussions.
- Create networks of AI safety and responsible AI champions who can drive ethical AI adoption across various sectors.
3. TARGET PARTICIPANTS
The Programs are designed for professionals from various backgrounds who are involved in or responsible for AI implementation, governance, or risk management. Specific eligibility criteria and participant profiles for each Program shall be set forth in the relevant program documentation. ASI reserves the right to reject any application or terminate participation at its sole discretion.
4. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Programs are administered by ASI, in collaboration with academic and industry Partners. Each party shall have specific roles and responsibilities as set forth in separate agreements between the parties. Participants acknowledge that ASI may delegate certain responsibilities to third parties, and such delegation shall not relieve ASI of its obligations under this Agreement.
5. PROGRAM DELIVERY
The Programs are delivered through various formats, including remote and in-person components, as specified in the relevant program documentation. All courses are delivered in English, and Participants are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary language proficiency and technical capabilities to participate effectively.
6. EVALUATION AND CERTIFICATION
Each Program includes various assessment methods to evaluate participant learning and application of concepts. Successful completion of program requirements may lead to certification, subject to the specific terms and conditions set forth in the relevant program documentation. ASI reserves the right to modify assessment criteria and certification requirements at any time.
7. PROGRAM MODIFICATIONS
ASI reserves the right to modify any Program`'s structure, content, schedule, or requirements at any time, with or without notice. Such modifications may include, but are not limited to, changes in curriculum, instructors, delivery methods, or assessment criteria. Participants shall be notified of any significant changes in a commercially reasonable manner.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall ASI, its officers, directors, employees, agents, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses (even if advised of the possibility of such damages) resulting from:
- Participation in any Program
- Use or inability to use any Program materials
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of participant data
- Statements or conduct of any third party in connection with any Program
- Any other matter relating to the Programs
The foregoing limitation of liability shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by law in the applicable jurisdiction. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.
9. INDEMNIFICATION
Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ASI, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that such parties may incur as a result of or arising from:
- Violation of this Agreement
- Use of any Program materials or content
- Violation of any rights of any other person or entity
- Any other activity related to participation in any Program
This indemnification obligation shall survive the termination of this Agreement and any participation in the Programs.
10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
The Programs and all content and materials included on or otherwise made available to you through the Programs are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. ASI makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the Programs or the information, content, materials, or products included on or otherwise made available to you through the Programs. You expressly agree that your use of the Programs is at your sole risk.
ASI MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT (I) THE PROGRAMS WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, (II) THE PROGRAMS WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, (III) THE RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF THE PROGRAMS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE, OR (IV) THE QUALITY OF ANY PRODUCTS, SERVICES, INFORMATION, OR OTHER MATERIAL OBTAINED THROUGH THE PROGRAMS WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.
11. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Indonesia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement, or the breach, termination, or invalidity thereof, shall be settled by arbitration in Jakarta, Indonesia, in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Indonesian National Board of Arbitration (BANI) for the time being in force.
The arbitration shall be conducted in the English language. The arbitral award shall be final and binding upon the parties. The number of arbitrators shall be three (3). Each party shall appoint one arbitrator, and the two arbitrators so appointed shall appoint the third arbitrator who shall act as the presiding arbitrator.

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior agreements, understandings, and negotiations, whether written or oral. This Agreement may be amended only by a written instrument signed by authorized representatives of ASI. Participation in any Program constitutes acceptance of these terms and any revisions communicated to participants.
